Helping those

who keep

Our

World Clean

A world where we respect the hard work and sacrifice of those who clean after us tirelessly but their sacrifices should not have to be their lives or health.

Who we are?

At Sahayta Square, we're passionate about making a difference in the lives of sanitation workers. From creating a wealth of blog content to hosting impactful health camps, our mission is clear: to uplift and support these essential community members.

We began our journey with a seedling of a thought: sanitation workers are barely even recognized, much less respected, in the Indian society. Of course, we then had to research more about their situation and do some ground-level work. To rehabilitate what we saw, we set in motion "Sahayta Square"
Initially, we had different goals in mind. One served to raise the health standards of sanitation workers and manual scavengers while the other was to dig deeper into their lifestyles with an in-depth survey and analysis of their condition. In our mission although, we united as one to draw forth the potentially bettering lives of sanitation workers.

Supporting

Sanitation Workers

Despite numerous challenges from societal and governmental fronts, we’ve built strong bonds with sanitation workers in our area. Collaborating with local NGOs, medical students, photographers, and dedicated volunteers, we strive to bring positive change. We aim to ensure that everyone understands the critical role sanitation workers play and how we can all support them.

A Future Where

Stability and Organisation

Thrive

Sanitation workers face significant instability and disorganization. Many lack legal recognition and essential documents, leading to constant displacement. In India, over 5 million sanitation workers confront these challenges daily. Sahayta Square is committed to addressing these issues in the Ahmedabad district.

DONATE NOW

Give back to the people who clean up after us.

However small, they appreciate it. And we do too.

All our funds are used in the provision of necessary medicines and nutrition to sanitation workers and their families. In addition to that, Sahayta Square utilises the additional funds in its awareness campaigns.

The proceeds go directly and entirely to helping the sanitation workers.
